Fed by ravens
filled with knowledge
with memory
dark as they often are
he swallows them
one by one
like edible acorns
the squirrel’s path
has become raven’s wing way
the road of the mounted master
Rare are the truths
hidden
yet revealed for him
in their terrible glory
giving pain
and scars
that never really heal
The awe becomes his middle name
like a long lost friend
